The Story of the 2008 Season so far...

In Division A, Richings Park have built a significant lead over Wycombe Heights who now have two games in hand. Richings Park are the only team in either division who have not lost a match this season and they need only to draw away to Wycombe Heights in their final match to be certain of winning the division. To sustain their challenge, Wycombe Heights must have convincing wins in their last three matches of the season.

In Division B, it's all change at the top yet again. Aldwickbury Park currently head the table following their home win against Princes Risborough. Bushey Hall are in second place with Waterstock's home win against Mill Green placing them 3rd.There is still everything to play for in the remaining four matches. Mill Green play away at Weston Turville in the final match of the season on 27th September and this might yet prove to be the decisive match for this division, with the split of bonus points being crucial.

 -  and, finally, (it was Oakland Park in 2006 and Weston Turville in 2007) - Princes Risborough have re-entered the Hall of Fame, losing 6 - 0 away to Aldwickbury Park!

This year's Winter Knockout final was played in March in near arctic conditions. It was a very closely contested final. The hardy players at Hazlemere braved their way through the blizzards and completed their game without any interruption, with Hazlemere winning two games and losing one. At Chartridge Park, the players succumbed to the blizzard and took a weather break. They managed to return to the course and completed the game with Chartridge Park winning 2 and losing one. On adding up the winning holes margin for each team, it was 8 each. The two captains agreed to a sudden death play off and Chartridge Park won the toss to host this game. The pair from Hazlemere won at the first play off hole.
It was a true Winter Knockout Final played in great spirit.
