The Story of the 2008 Season so far...

In Division A, Wycombe Heights continue their record of winning all home matches since joining the league (that's an impressive 8 out of 8). An additional away victory has put them at the top of the table but they are being pressed by Richings Park who have a game in hand.
In Division B, a closely fought season is seeing the lead change most weeks. Waterstock currently head the table, with Aldwickbury Park and Bushey Hall close on their heels, and both have a game in hand. Mill Green play their final 6 matches during August and September, so this Division is likely to remain a very open competition until the final putts of the year.

This year's Winter Knockout final was played in March in near arctic conditions. It was a very closely contested final. The hardy players at Hazlemere braved their way through the blizzards and completed their game without any interruption, with Hazlemere winning two games and losing one. At Chartridge Park, the players succumbed to the blizzard and took a weather break. They managed to return to the course and completed the game with Chartridge Park winning 2 and losing one. On adding up the winning holes margin for each team, it was 8 each. The two captains agreed to a sudden death play off and Chartridge Park won the toss to host this game. The pair from Hazlemere won at the first play off hole.
It was a true Winter Knockout Final played in great spirit.
