The night before the Ryder Cup Day and Presentations, there were lots of moans and groans at the weather forecast for the following day's golf!   Waterproofs, hats, umbrellas, golfbag covers etc. were all looked out in preparation for a very wet and windy day!    Miraculously it didn't rain at all.  In fact, the ladies were well prepared for foul weather, and during the course of the day were peeling off the layers and a lot ended up playing in shirt sleeves!

 

Oakland Park hosted the Ryder Cup and the whole day was organised exceptionally well by Hilary Davies.    64 ladies took part, 8 teams of 8 players from each club.  This year each team of 8 played 2 BB, 1 Greensomes, and 2 Singles matches.  

 

It was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, catching up with old and new friends, and the meal afterwards was superb. 

 

The winners on the day were Oakland Park with 175 points, Aylesbury Park close behind with 173 points and Chartridge Park did get a mention with 172 points.

 

 

We are all looking forward to our League season in 2010.
